Fortunately I had just made a backup of my entire database only minutes earlier. I'm in the process of restoring it to the database right now.

How would I go about moving the attachments...

I was able to reduce the database size from 203 MB down to 55 MB simply by purging attachments. I did not realize that attachments were stored in the database -- hopefully this might help someone else...
