Why? Now that 4.0 is out, I think the only releases for 3.8 will be security updates. If you want to remain current on your releases, then upgrade to 4.0.

You're close. To restore it, you need a .sql file. So you need to gunzip it:

gunzip /root/bleedani_nationofhiphopthisone.sql.gz

Then to restore it, do what you tried:

FWIW, your dump syntax is wrong. It should be something like:

mysqldump -u <username> -p <dbname> > <dir you want dbfile>.sql

Found a fix to this. I had to turn off the zlib compression in the php.ini file.

zlib.output_compression = On

changed to:

zlib.output_compression = Off

IMO, I would setup a rewrite rule that rewrites anything from domain.com to www.domain.com. Do it as a 301 redirect so search engines will know it's been permanently moved to www.domain.com.

it's not really a script, I just have the rm command scheduled to run every minute. So, for example:
