I use Glow Host Spam-o-Matic and am very happy with it.
It has so far stopped over 65.000 spammers on my site and counting.

On ocation one or two get past but it doesn't do that much...

My ISP had a server issue on the MySql side and while they were hammering and welding I got an error in a table.

I can strongly recommend to set up Question Verification on registration.

I cut my spam down to zero with that.

Well it seems to have done something that it didn't do the first time.
I have not received any error so far so I guess it took care of it.

Just did and now I have to wait for the bots to arrive to see if I get the sql errors again.
Did not see any DB changes unless they are done in the running of the XML files.

I upgraded this morning from 4.0.8 to 4.1.2 and it went flawless as usuall.

But now I keep getting these database errors.

I have never used the FB connect before and I decided to use it.

I created the application and all and I get the Like Button in threads and stuff but NOT the Connect button in the top....

I use Q&A and have historically always used reCaptcha.

After I changed to Q&A i lowered my spam BOTS to ZERO ...

Manually registered spammers tire very quickly.
