Extracts from forum posts appearing when viewing other sites

It doesn't mean that somehow those sites are pulling content from the actual forum does it? Is the content coming from the temporary internet files? I've never seen anything like this before.

That's what I did and so far so good. It seemed to be triggered by and affect mainly members using iphones....

For anyone else with a similar problem it seems to have been fixed by changing the language to UTF-8

Since yesterday when a pound sign is typed it converts to a question mark and can't be changed. I have contacted our hosts but they can't sort it say it's a scripting error, any ideas please? We are on...

Problem solved, the user hadn't update Chrome - once done pictures would upload ok.

Yes i had edited the htaccess file to block unwanted traffic from China. I've removed the edit now and so far so good with creating new shortcuts. Thanks for your help.

I could see that if it was just affecting the members, but as administrator I have access to all parts of the forum and it was happening to me.

Could it be connected to the htaccess file...

I've now had more members reporting this issue - some on windows 10 pc's. I think I may have found the issue.All those having problems were coming in from icon shortcuts. I told them to access the forum...

A couple of my members have reported an issue of appearing to be logged out when leaving and returning to the forum. They are still showing as being online the forum end but their end they are getting...

Clicked address and it launched straight into rebuilding the index so I shut the window on it quickly and all seems ok.
