Upgrade from 3.0.7 to 3.5.4

Is it ok to upgrade from version 3.0.7 to version 3.5.4? Will I run into any problems?

Does version 3.5.0 have bigger post table size limit. I want to increase the size of my post table to more than 4gb in 3.0.7 but couldn't figure out how.
