3.5 Faster ? Server Loads ?

I am currently on 3.0.12

If I upgrade to 3.5 will I notice any drop in server loads on increase in general speed ?

You were dead right (you guys always are) I had a file missing somewhere. I have now managed to upgrade ok.

How big a deal is it to go to 3.5 and is it worth it ?...

I edited the config.php file and added the correct info where required. Now I am back to the first problem. I don't get any upgrade prompts I get taken to the admin suite ?????

I should have said that if you select the relevant catagory and then the thread from that cats list all is fine.

If you select it from the index page and the latest post list it all gets...

I have recently moved servers and took a backup of all the VB stuff. That version of the config file shows the password as is, ie not encrypted.

Rather than keep a note of the mysql database password for my vb3 database (which I would lose) I simply go to my config file to find the password.
