RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ...

doesn anyone know if the .htaccess stuff posted (disallowing lwp and LWP)
also blocks the googlebot?

I'm sorry, G-Unit, it seems I didn't understand this. There are actually three files in the folder - an index.php and a globals and a css file.

I had thought there would be a bunch of html...

there is nothing in this folder, and I can't seem to find anywhere that says "create archive". I do have it ENABLED.

Also, there seems to be nothing in the documentation on this...
