Compiling php5.1.2 5/6 as module not cgi with php4.4.3/4 gives two errors. No error when compiling. After last apache restart it gives either of these errors

32 bit don't go for 64 bit! Both servers are around the same power, AMD may be a little more powerful. It depends on your personal choice.

Do you require support apart from the obvious reboots etc.

First go for the 256MB and see how it runs if you go for the 512MB you will not know how it performs. You can easily upgrade to the 512MB, they just change the settings for the VPS....
