Could it be that the user table is not in synch with the user access table?

If I empty the entire table (the one called "access" I'm assuming) and password protect the certain private forums... would resetting...

I took a chance and realized that I had top upload the files for 2.3.3 over the files in the forum folder for 2.2.7

I've sorted out the proper version to upgrade to but I am having a major problem...

Thanks. Yes, sorry. That's what I meant. I was looking further and can't find in the 2.3.3 version a readme to let me know if that version will "easily" upgrade from 2.2.7....

I am hoping to upgrade from 2.2.7 to the latest Beta but in the instructions it says you have to be running at least 2.2.7 to upgrade to the version I just downloaded from VB.com.
