1. You can install 2 copies of vBulletin softwares at any one time under 1 license. One for live board, one for testing (i.e. non-live)
2. After you buy vB5, you get all the upgrades in the 5.X...

My main issues with vBulletin are 2 things:
1. I haven't seen a single customized vBulletin 5 forum with more than 1 million posts on the net... in fact, I could hardly find 1 single customized...

The reason was because I trusted vBulletin, based on my knowledge of them from 2006 (when I last admin an active board). Back then, vB was THE definite premium board..

Actually, I am feeling almost like to take the plunge and change to Xenforo now.... browsing this forum is so painful (laggy). Especially considering this forum is vanilla with no add-ons
