Well, the files were created in the last few hours, when trying to change from vbulletin search to fulltext.

When i attempted to delete the file, this happens:

[email protected] [/var/lib/mysql/bikeforu_forum]#...

Not that I know of... but not sure how to check. Its a rather standard vb install. Nothing extra or fancy, but a large site.

BTW, there is a 4th file:

-rw-rw---- 1 mysql mysql...

My /var partition is 100% full, looking around my database I see these 3 files:

Search is killing my server. I have ~3MM posts, and 1500+ users online thruout the day. If i have search disabled, server load is under 1.0 on the front end server. With search on, load avg's 2.5 - 4.0...
