My mate had a custom CMS built for vbulletin 3.5.4 (closed source) but we think some of the coding might be insecure. As we have had Activex applets on it and the site got hacked....

well i dont have much info as i deleted the account on cpanel and recreated it again so no logs. It was only untill my server admin told me about the virus after running an av scan on the linux boxLeave a comment:

Security issue
Ok im running vbulletin 3.5.4 was a clean install and chmod permissions were set all ok as well 755 for folders and 644 for files.
Well anyway someone managed to upload a java virus onto the server... -
Nice to see its getting fully worked on. Unlike IPB.... I know its in dev but there an eta on a aalpha release?

i was looking through the forum folder were my vbulletin is ninstalled and i noticed the adition of 3 new files

I just found out that someone released a script for webhosts to scan their customers files for illegal vbulletin versions.
Were can i get hold of this script? As i have a webhsoting server... -
