Not necessarily, is anyone registering? Have you tried with a test user? Do you get other emails from your site? If not, are your email config settings correct?

Looks fine to me, might be worthwhile changing your registered days to 1 or 0 though - those settings work for me.

Everything should be controlled from stylevars, AFAIK.

Have a play around with the width settings in stylevars, I can't remember what one does forum width (body_width maybe?) but it should...

Months are handled under global phrases, search for the name of the month and it should come up. As for acronyms, not sure sorry.

Not sure, there's a couple of tables in the database related to sigpic and sigparsed, but i'm not sure what they do. You could try rebuilding signature...

Admin CP > Forum Manager > Add New Forum > Select the forum that you want it to be a subforum of in 'Parent Forum' dropdown.

Welcome to the forum name: search your phrases for 'Welcome To The' and it should come up with three things, the one you want is the global phrase entitled 'welcome_to_the_x'

You have to assign them to specific forums IIRC, and remove them from the global moderator setting in Usergroups. Individual forum assignments are handled in ACP > Forums and Moderators > Forum...
