Anyone, this is causing major confusion and people just keep complaining.

What I was actually looking for was a way to see if the call is even being made.

How can I see that the Akismet key I have entered is working ?

Is there a log file or something within VB that will show its being called and returning results ?

Looking at this further, if I look at my mini stats, there is a picture there.
If I go any edit my profile pic, there is nothing there.
The avatar I have selected, is correct.

Yep, I have seen that, thanks.

What I really wanted to do was just remove the bit that says "reading this" or "sending pm" which is in the location column.

Fixed the problem.

Even though the system was configured to run GD, the settings for ImageMagick where still in the settings, so once removing all the IM settings, the error went away.

But no one has set profile pictures, they seem to have been randomly set during the conversion, thats why I think its so confusing.

The members of my forum have complained that even when reading or writing a PM, other people can see what they are doing.

I cannot find, but how do I hide this information from general users...

From what forum software did you convert to vBulletin to?
Snitz with some manual modifications
How big is the database in file size? (compressed/uncompressed, database or flatfile)
MySQL...

When looking at users posts, we can see their avatars.

When you look at the same users profile, it show a different avatar in their statistics.

This is a new import from Snitz...

I am getting exactly the same error.

I had my test server running from a \testvb directory.

Now after doing a copy of the files and the a re-run of the install script, nothing...
