Like Mark says, the best thing to do is to copy the entire forum installation somewhere for you to play with locally. It's always a bad idea to try and upgrade on a modified forum without a test run....

I've been getting this error on various vBulletin boards for a long time, and I've never seen a vBulletin dev with an answer to it. (Because of course, it only seems to occur on modified boards.)

Avatar problems after an upgrade from vB 2.3.5

Strange thread delaying problem.
A client recently pointed out a problem on his vB3 board.
It appears that with Internet Explorer, the entire page (including all attachments) needs to load before anything below the header...
