People like you say it like its "easy as pie." But what happens if vBulletin makes a new release? You'd have to go back to the templates, revert them, and re-add the template edit you made....

One thing to note is that vBulletin checks if the license is legit and whatnot. After the fact, it is transfered.

So, your friend has to be very trustworthy before deciding to buy the license...
