What is the correct procedure on changing your domain name?

Im sorry, I was not clear. I need to also know the step by step that I have to do on the server end. I assume changing the forum URL in the members area will be the first step, what next? (server end)...

Does anyone know if it is possible to override whatever color code is being called on the links with CSS or html? Or where I can look to find the spot to edit the color?

I deleted alt1 out of the class and it has no effect on the links, they still functioned good with the correct colors the only thing that changed was the background color.
