As was the case with IE8 Beta 1, IE8 Beta 2 crashes if and every time you try to access a vBulletin forum. Smolly.

I also suggest that you create a testvb copy of your forum and then first test the vB upgrade in your testvb. This approach would catch any 'problems/issues' and avoids the risk of something going wrong...

Just a wild guess but if you had the Thread Thumbnail mod installed you need to either disable the Thread Thumbnail - Search plugin or tweak the search.php, adding the TT search.php additional code.

I'm not totally sure what you're asking but if you have the Thread Thumbnail mod posts with attachments show up as thumbnailed for guests. Apologies if this is of no help, off-base.
