Problems at "access" table creation

to my horror i found my database had over 10,000 temp tables, so many that mysql wouldn't even show them - found i could find the names via vb control panel under the backup database menu but couldnt...

Problem there is that our sites then become responcible for our users being spammed with junk after their email addy has been spidered from our boards....

I too have had 40 more guests than normal over the last 24 hours - all seem to be an ip range attributable to inktomi so the spidering theory seems accurate.

I dopn't want to ban them but...

Great I progressed to have all tables apparently created and altered but at the end of that step it reports...


The script reported errors in the installation of the tables. Only...

I dropped the faulty access table and tried again this time choosing to "clear" the database.

database cleared... fine
table access created......
