This is not true at all. IPB offers a downloadable demo you can install on your own server. Several ecommerce software also allow a free demo to be downloaded to.

If I remember correctly, there is an option in the AdminCP to disable the thumbnails for socail groups. I have done this on my forum, but they aren't disabled for the user profile pages. It doesn't show...

I'm going to be implementing a post count restriction to begin with and see what happens. Only one user has reported it. It might going on with others, but no one else has come forward about this.
