Just to let you know I found THE problem which was using the £ sign as well as the - sign.
Would anyone have any idea why I can post the £ sign and - sign on here when it was causing problems...

I've just upgraded to 5.3, First I turned off my forum board. I then uploaded all the files in UPLOAD folder. I then ran upgrade script. I then deleted INSTALL folder.

I got the board set up that all new posts to be 'approved' but I'm not getting an email telling me when someone has posted. I can't see an obvious place to set this up. Can someone advise me? Thanks.

Thanks Lynne I've found it now by searching as you suggested. It was frustrating not to be able to find it as I had used this before to add some extra css code.

Following up on the above do NOT use this method. the above code went through all tables and changed all instances of http:// to https:// and broke my database. This was, I believe, that some of the URL's...

Thanks for your suggestion which has worked really well for me. I did see the option to search at 'table' level but it was confusing with all the various search options available....

It's the actual words in the thread itself or the blog. I found that using a SQL query as follows:- UPDATE text SET rawtext = REPLACE(rawtext, 'http://', 'https://');
This replaced all instances...

I've worked out that there is content is stored in database/text/rawtext as I need to find and replace some content on my board. However there appears to be some posts not in that table.

The board is working but the Site Builder is NOT working. Even in the standard Default Style. Does this have to be turned on?

I've just uploaded an earlier version and this appears to work. Don't know what on earth went on!!
