I agree, VPS and VMs are pretty much the same. Virtuozzo is one to avoid in my opinion. It allows hosts to easily oversell servers and can be quite unreliable.

It depends on your forum size and traffic. I've seen VM/Cloud packages that handle more traffic than a low end dedicated box....

Global Gold have been working on this issue all night. It would appear there is a bug in Virtuozzo that's caused a file system issue. They've not lost any customer data it's just been a headache moving...

I actually prefer Plesk over cPanel as it takes less resources and gives you much more control over the OS. The guys over at www.vbulletinhosting.co.uk support Plesk.

You can actually specify what country your content is specific too with Google. Have a look at this link. Therefore it won't matter where you host the site.

vBulletin Fulltext Search
Hello.
I've switched a forum over to the fulltext search although I've noticed some keywords are no longer working now. For example if I search for 17-40L and it comes up with zero results....
