moving large forum to another server

Hi! I just ran into a strange problem. I edited some permissions for guests, such as "can view member info", and now guests can't view forum listings. They can, however, view individual posts....

Well, I installed vBulletin again on Saturday and just a few hours ago once again 2 huge .wrk files filled /tmp and crashed Apache. I NEVER had this problem when vBulletin wasn't installed on the server....

but such a problem never occurred until I installed vBulletin this morning.... I just read elsewhere that .wrk files are created by Apache + mod_gzip.

What do you mean "Windows equivalent"? The server has FreeBSD 4.x installed.

The filename was something like "_27249_4658_4559.wrk"

The server basically froze, I went into the server's control panel and it showed that /tmp was 100% full. I deleted that...

Ok, it appeared that vBulletin created a HUGE file in /tmp, which completely wiped out the remaining free space. This file was over 20GB. Can someone tell me why this happened?
