Thank you, Wayne Luke, for your answer ... but I have no uaergroups on my board and I think I only allowed the "standard permissions" (didn't change them). So I don't know how to solve this...

I have the same issue - the database has i.e. a size of about 400 MB after having cleared the system cache ... but if I forget to clear the cache for 3-4 days it is "overflowing" to over 1 GB...

Just a short feedback after a "restart" of these database/fatal errors - I phoned with the technical support of my webspace provider (Ionos in Germany) and they felt uncomfortable as some technicians...

Jepp, but now I have more grave problems, as my admin-panel disappeared ... I opened a new thread with this issue.
So I switched to the old mySQL database and restored the old 5.5.5 vBulletin....

Different collation tables after Upgrade
Sorry for disturbing again after my upgrade from 4.2.4 to 5.5.5 ... but obviously the upgrade process generated tables of different collations, some are "latin1_swedish_ci", some are "latin1_german2_ci"...
