registration usergroup.

is there a way to change the primary registration user group i.e

currently its registered users when accepted but we'd like them to automatically go into stage 1 users and promote them up...

I really dislike the postbit tempalte and I need to change it back to that of the the 2.2.X postbit. so the name, avatar and data is on the left.
