I upgraded two 3.8.x sites to the suite and all went smoothly.
Just follow the instructions, back up all your files and database before the upgrade.

Before any upgrades be sure to back up all files and your database, then you will not lose any data or members if something goes haywire....

4.0.3 >4.1.2
I have a community thats running 4.0.3 not the suite and I want to upgrade it to 4.1.2 suite. Is there a pecking order I need to follow or can I just upgrade from 4.0.3 to 4.1.2?

This certainly is an interesting turn.
I can see this going one of two ways. The new management hires some sharp coders and pixel wranglers and produces a "top shelf" totally supported...

Correct. You can change the logo header verbiage without paying for the "branding Free" license. But cannot edit the footer information without the "branding free" license....

Don't know what your budget is but I've been with Liquidweb for years and very happy with their service and support.

Had the same problem with 3.8.5
Changed the server settings by enabling safe mode and the temp directory.

I seriously looked at SE for a project but found my options for customizing weak and app's expensive.
