    Without changing the motherboard the fastest CPU you could fit would be a P4 2.8GHz 533FSB. TBH most places have a less than $10 difference in price between a 2.4 and a 2.6 (533FSB).

    The x8 LiteOn 811S is only does x8 on DVD+R media, which IMHO is less useful than -R for general compatiblity. -R recording is limited to x4 on the LiteOn.
