OK, basically the problem is this, trying to send any type of e-mail from the forums fails. This includes the system sending out e-mail notification or even using the e-mail forms.

What i surgest you do, get mysqladmin (theres info about that around here somewhere) look at the session table and remove any sessions which contain duplicate user ids.
This did fix the problem...

I had this problem and traced it down to this...
In the vb database in the session table i had two (or more) sessions listed. I deleted both and then it worked ok once more. I'm not sure why this...

I have traced down the problem, it seems that server was placing the cookies in the wrong place.
Either set the cookie folder to / or leave it blank.
