My New post indicaters are not updating

Ok, I lied I reread the description and thats not what I wanted.

OK, so the actual post indicators update when they view the threads but the "New post in forums" indicators do...

Thanks, Now that I knew that was the problem I found the option to timeout the cookies.

So, I'm not sure I'm understanding. Let my reexpress myself. When my forumites view the main page the the new post indicators will indicate that there are new posts to view, they will go into the forums...

the users view the pages but the forum is still telling them that there are new posts when there are not, this is showing up in firebird, and opera, and IE5, and mozilla.
