This is a routine which reads a text file a line at a time - I did it to reply to another forum question (www.devshed.com) - this reads password info and checks user/password pairs

Either way check with your host- the good people at http://www.rts.com.au who host my pages have configured the apache servers to parse .htm files as PHP - so I can save my files as .htm which the engines...
