database locking

severe site problems caused by the significant amount of database locking that is occurring, all with table vb3_user. There are 57,000 records in there.. what do I do ? 3.0.3

when I open my board, the index page starts looking for profile.php.. why is that ?

but my final questions was 100% vb..

1. how do I inhibit vb from logging in users after signup ?
2. can I use cookie login exclusively ?

When a new user signs up for an account and completes the process, it is my impression that vb automatically logs him in by session id.. This would anyway help explain my problem..

let's say the surfer opens a new thread and want to sit and spend a long time writing a story. will his session expire and will he loose the work when he tries to submit it one hour after having opened...

both installations are vb 3.0.3 - the only difference is the templates/style, table prefix and location (same domain).. i have tried now xxxx times, the same result every time..

all forums transferred 2 x
some users transferred 2 x
some posts transferred 2 x
some threads transferred...

i cleared out all all forums, users, threads and post in the new installation. ran impex selected vb3 and followed the module submit buttons in the impex.. all forums transferred 2 times, some threads...

problems.. the import script impex, is messing things up..

some users are imported 2 times.
forums imported 2 times (every time)
posts and attathments are imported 2 time...
