Managing CMS Section and Content

Here's a quick Visual Guide on how Manage Sections in the new CMS.

1. Editing a Section: If you have permissions to manage a Section, as you hover over the Section title, a pencil icon will display.

After clicking the pencil icon, you will be taken to the Section Edit page. Here's what you will see:

2. Section Name: Enter the Section Name
3. SEO URL Alias: This is the SEO Friendly URL. By default, if this is blank, the system will automatically copy the section title.
4. Section Layout: For each section you can define an individual section layout.

1. Create New Article Button: Navigate to the section you want the article to be published in. Click on the “Create a New Article” button. This will open an article form.

In the spirit of providing more documentation to our customers and developer community, we put together two PDF documents and an example style. The first is "vB4: Skinning Your Forum in 10 Easy Steps." This is a step-by-step guide on how to customize the main areas of your vB4 Forum. The second document is the vB4 StyleVar Visual Dictionary. The StyleVar (style variable) Dictionary is more of a complementary reference guide aimed at understanding how and where to use each StyleVar for advanced customization. As we finalize the product, I will continue to provide updated versions of these two docs. Finally, I also included a zip file, "Wave 1.zip" that includes: 1. Image files used in this vB4: Skinning doc. 2. wave-style.xml - if you want to install this new style. 3. install.rtf - instructions on how to install wave-style. ...
