To close the loop on this, I got the guy to talk some more (grabbed a fourth account) and he gave the following explanation:
I did (foolishly) allow HTML in sigs until today....

Well, the thing that's troubling me is this person has gained access to three different accounts that don't seem to be connected aside from my forum (only two work on a Wiki together, so that's out)....

Hacking Multiple Accounts
Somewhat troubling issue. Multiple user accounts have been hacked on my forum, the individual used them to gain access to a hidden forum and began posting messages as multiple people with access to that...

Couldn't find phrase
I just upgraded from 3.0.3 to 3.0.5. The board is operating just fine, but I ran into a problem in the AdminCP.
When I go in and edit a users information, the redirect page (where you'd...

A question about modifying the threadbits
I've been tooling around with my templates today, getting a news archive skin back in working order. The look I'm going for is basically a modified vB2-- thread name, poster, views, and date posted. I've...

Moving Button and Resizing Names
I'm interested in moving the Reply and New Thread buttons over to the righthand side of the page rather than the left. Which templates would I have to go into to do that?
Also, is it possible...

Quote Box too long
Still getting everything in vB 3 configured from a 2.3.5 upgrade. There seems to be an issue with the Quote box extending past the right edge of the post. I'm not sure how to fix this or where to go to...

After Upgrading?
After more than a few attempts/problems, I finally got my Forum upgraded to vB 3.0.1.
I've been going through trying to get the look of my board right and get the new features all working...

I uploaded phpinfo.php just as you said and it was turning back the same error. I checked with my host again and he asked about my FTP program (which is the one built into AOL) and suggested that it was...

A new sql backup of customavatar still had the same problem, so I only transferred the structure and that seemed to go through okay. I assume it just means those with avatars will have to reset them....

No hacks whatsoever. The only files uploaded in that directory/subdomain are the ones in the upload folder for vBulletin 2.3.0 (sans the images folder, install.php, and upgradeX.php). All I'm doing is...Last edited by Martin22; Sun 6 Jun '04, 11:11pm.

Okay, I'll do that, thanks.
Unfortunately, I have another question.
After I "finished" transferring the sql files (obviously need to go back now), I uploaded...

Thanks for your help-- great news.

A few questions about a transfer...
I'm currently running vB 2.3.0 and I'm in the process of transferring my database to a new host. The hitch is that the current host doesn't allow SSH access (although my new one does). Restoring the tables...

Dang, I was afraid of that. I started the upgrade process Saturday night, hit a snag, and while I was trying to resolve it, my host wiped and then restored the database a little over twelve hours later....

I appreciate the help. I reuploaded all of the non-image 2.3.0 files (and made sure they were ASCii) but I still get that error-- with any user group, not just "Registered". Is there anything...
