Stay with 3.8.6 till vb5 least stabilizes... look around the Licensed Customer Feedback forum for reviews and do a "test" upgrade before making it on your live site. There are a lot of performance...

A site located in US will obviously load faster for you if you are in the states or your customers are from same region. You can ask both of the companies for their test IP's and ping them. But usually...

There are many chat add-ons available for vb4 on vb.org. I doubt you would ever see "chat" as an integral part of vbulletin, but rest assured there would be a lot of add-ons for it.

Did you delete a user recently and forgot to delete his blog posts ??
Go to
AdminCP >> Vbulletin blog >> Blog Entries
Look at the entries and delete...

You need to check your "Usergroup permissions". Check for "Can View Who Read a Thread" under "Forum Viewing Permissions" change the value to Yes or No accordingly for each...

How to make CMS our index page ?
We were using a custom flash page before as our index page, but after buying the suite we plan to replace the flash webpage with the CMS. So how do we go about this any guides or anything? Our forum is...

It's only a theme/skin, they do not need vb's permission for that as far as I know. Heck I was once fooled by xenforo skin for vb haha

Just upload the new files of the suite and run the upgrade process, that should be all. If you keep the forum version same, then it shouldn't modify your current setup a lot either....
