How do I exclude new posts from a subforum in "New posts " and "today posts" ?

I like to exclude a subforum in the New posts " and "today posts" but I don't know how to do.

Have rebuild and resubmitted the sitemap. No errors it said. and there were over 200 URLs but no indexing yet.

What should I do? How often do I resubmit the sitemap?
