the md5 password is what's stored in the cookie...I just wanted to avoid having the user have to enter their password, but it seems unavoidable.

No...I was talking about the forum cookie which stores the userid and md5(password) ($bbuserid and $bbpassword) thanks for all your help though, I guess I'll just have to require manual password...

I've upgraded this vbb to version 2.0.1, and the reports that NS users are unable to login are still coming in. I've confirmed that this is happening myself with a version of NS 4.7...

Just as an update .... I changed the form method to GET instead of POST, and it works.
