Huge problem! Help.

no..no its not a bad backup, you didnt understand.

I just made a dump of a .sql file into my phpmyadmin for some old forums I had, but now I cant access the admin of that forum, the thing is I bought it a while ago from someone and the dump has 2 old...

One of my forums has many hacks and I would like to upgrade to version 2.2.8. as I have 2.2.6, If I upload the new files will it remove all the hacks?
I actually want to have all the original files...
