Thanks but this has the effect of changing the display order in ALL forum sections. I want it to affect only the channel I'm viewing when I click Edit Page. Is that not how it works?...

Yeah it seems like it will probably be easiest to set it up as a forum and just ASK NICELY that people not reply to others' diaries, and be prepared to move/delete replies....

That bug is not my issue. I WANT my users to see each others' posts, but to only be able to reply to their own. It's a public diary of sorts.
