Restore one specific forum from backup

Nope, it is not. You're using automatic and not manual selection, right?

The user table, possibly with the vb_ prefix.

It's likely other things might not have been imported either, if that table is wrong, so it's best to do the importing process over.

There unfortunatly are enough that say "hey, you're using vB, you are using too much resources, goodbye". Whether a hoster uses the latest software isn't much of a concern here....

When you buy vBulletin, you only buy the software and the license to use it. To compare, -an OEM/Retail version of Windows doesn't include the computer, a drivers license doesn't include a car.

This is not possible unless your transfer was unsuccessful. Transfer your files and database 1:1, all you should change are the DB connect settings in the config.php file.

Do you get an error 500 on the whole domain, or just on the impex page, or in the complete ACP?
First to check would be your htaccess file, then I'd re-upload the impex files.

You can hide things in your style usergroup defined with some scripting, I know it is possible because I've done that before, but finding that modification back is more difficult than I thought.
