  • Two vBulletin Licenses on the one server?

We have purchased two vBulletin licenses for two different message boards that we run. They are mutually exclusive and we can't do all of them under the one vBulletin program.

I would like to know how to install vBulletin under this situation? We are running it on Apache 1.3.x on Windows 2000, with mySQL. Each vBulletin license is registered against a different DNS name, but I don't want to destroy one forum setup by incorrectly installing another vBulletin system on that same box. What can be done to keep them exclusively different?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Regards,
    Myles

Use different DB names. When you install, vB should ask for the name of the database to use. Be sure to use a different database for the second install and you'll be fine. If you're paranoid, you can make two user accounts, one is able to access one DB only the other can access the other DB only, and configure the two installs to use different usernames also.

You can even install 2 or more boards in 1 domain, provided you install it like WetWired says in a seperate database...
And you set the cookies directory in options of the admin CP...
Any registrations you have to solve with the VB staff...
