Search facility?

Before I commit to buying a new forum I would like to know if there is a facility where the user can use a search box to search all the posts for a word. Also would a search box for the entire website cover the content in the forum or is this stored separately?

Yeah, you can search the entire forum for one word. And a search box that searches the entire site can be set up to search to board if you know how to.

That's great, but is it easy to get the search box on the first page of the forum for an unregistered member to use?

Yeah. It is a template edit. Check out www.vbulletintemplates.com for edits of this kind. You do not need to modify any php files for it to work.
