What was the forum

It was one huge site, with several seperate forums all linked into different sites? Think it was a sports one but can't remember

Can somebody who knows please post the URL in here, want to know about doing something similar before I consider vB.

I have no idea which web site you mean; but vBulletin can provide you the following:

vBulletin version 2.
This is not a default feature; but on vBulletin.org it is possible for licensed members to download (for free) a source code 'hack' which lets you set forums as actual links. So they look like they are forums, but when pressed, will move you on to another URL.

vBulletin version 3.
This is a default feature.
In version 3 you can set a forum up as a category, a forum, a sub forum and make it show up as a link.

Not sure if you quite understood what I meant, think you did but i'll just verify.

Forum on www.forum.abc and forum on www.newsite.abc appear to be totally seperate sites. But, they're part of the same network, and all share the same login/users.

I'm contemplating vB, but at the moment i've got a wBB 2.1 license which seems to be a pretty good competitor...
