  • VB, can i pay monthly?

Since im a college student and want to use VB badly, can i pay each month instead of one huge year plan?

No, sorry. We do not have provisions to allow monthly payments.

      Hi guys,

I'm the owner of the web hosting company and have similar question.
Some of my clients want to install VB, but they cant pay the whole amount at once. They agree to pay extra $10, for example, in additional to their account monthly payment.

Can VB team come up with some kind of "hosting" license?
Say the web hosting company will pay every month for each client who is going to use VB on their accounts? For example there will be 9 payments $10 each per client.

We don't currently have a hosting option like this. However feel free to send an email to [email protected] with this suggestion.

Yeah, actually a monthly plan sounds like quite a good idea.

Would be murder to enforce, though, because checks would have to be done 12 times a year instead of just once (or never in the case of an owned license).

This is unfair. There are , i bet, alot of people who want to pay monthy because they dont have money to pay high price at one time. Think of the younger admins, like college teens who cannot afford more than $50 a year.

My suggestion to email James was for InternetZoneBiz. James is very busy and he may not have time to respond for many days.

The bottom line is that the cost and management overhead of setting up monthly payments for individuals is cost-prohibitive and is not likely to happen soon, if ever. Sorry.

How so? Jellsoft owns the rights to vB, and can license it out on whatever terms they choose to do it under.

How can you even pay for college then? If you can't afford more than $50 a year, then this isn't for you! This is for people who can afford to buy a license.

But y'know what, I'm going to email Microsoft and ask them to lower prices because I'm a kid trying to use my computer and I'm broke. I'll let you know what they say.

Half the vBulletin admins I know are 14, 15 year olds on power trips.

This is why we have hacked VB flying around and also people boot legging microsoft software.

                              Solution solved.
