    Couple of things.
    MySQL Crashed
    MySQL was being restarted
You've used all your MySQL connections and the configuration setting needs to be increased.

        mariannet,

You should visit our Server Configuration forum. The people there can help you optimize your server, lower bandwidth and increase reliability. There is no reason why vBulletin can't handle your site out of the box.
