    Email copies of postings

Is there any way for forum members to automatically receive all forum postings by email, and also to be able to reply or start new threads by email.

Our current forum software does this, but has a terrible web interface whicjh is why we're looking at changing.

However, some of our current users are very keen on retaining the email aspect of things.

Receive notifications of new threads: yes, but you have to manually enter in their e-mail address in the admin CP > Forums and Moderators > Modify > Edit > Email Addresses... field.
Reply/Start threads by e-mail: there's a beta hack at http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/ for posting replies via e-mail, but you can't do it without hacking.

Is there a simple hack that could mean that all users that wanted to could choose, when they set up their profile, or join a particular message board, to receive all postings by email automatically with no intervention by administrators?

If not, any idea of who might do this for us and how much it would cost?

You could try Chen's Hack. You can test it out at vBulletin.org however you need to be subscribed to a thread.

If you are refering to an email digest, that is a feature that will be in vBulletin 3.

An email digest would be great, but the best is to have a choice, made by the subscriber of :
            - email copy of every post to a board
            - daily (or weekly) email digest of all posts to the board
            - no emails

This is what our current software offers.

When is v3 due out and which of these features will it offer?

I thought this is only for 1 user? Or can we add multiple addresses there?
