  • Question about VB5 upgrade - responsive

Hi there, we are considering upgrading our current VB to 5, but are interested to know if the full mobile package is required simply to get responsive design/layouts. We would prefer not to go the mobile addon route as we would not use the majority of the features.

Our site is incredibly low-volume, so it would not justify the upgrade at the cost of both packages. But if we were just to do the upgrade without the mobile addon because the site would work nicely in a mobile browser, we might be able to do this.

Looking forward to some assistance here.

You don't need the Mobile Suite bundle if you don't want to publish native iOS and Android apps on the apps store. vB5 supports Responsive design so you don't necessarily must have mobile apps. Accessing the forum on mobile browsers should be enough in most cases.
