  • Usable for a company with restricted access?

    Hi there,

is it possible to customize vbulleting for a company, so that it is only accessible with a certain e-mail adress? We are using a google service for our emails, so a google authentification should be sufficient.

There may be some sensible information, so the forum should not be accessible by users, who do not work in the company or who have left the company.

Maybe one option would also be to have a paid access to the forum with a small fee.

    Thank you for any help!

There are several methods to do this.
    • You can turn off registration and manually add users in the AdminCP.
    • You can moderate new users and only allow them to view content once approved.
    • You can add special fields to verify membership.
    • You can use referral codes to verify membership.
    • You can delete past employees or move them to a usergroup that no longer has access to view your site.
    • You can have both public and private forums. The private forums would be viewable to a custom usergroup for your employees.
    • You can even create forums for different departments and allow only people in those departments access.
    • With the download versions, you can run your site on your intranet and require VPN access for people to view it.
You get a lot of control who can see your content and when they can see it.
