  • Korean support...FULL multilingual supp.

I emailed cust service about this...but just as some users said, vb's cust. service is SLOW. Infopop supports multilingual fonts n such....but i dont know about searching in other languages...hrm.
My question is, Does VB support other languages (chinese, korean, japanese etc) completely? I seem to remember VB not supporting those languages before...if it does, can users search for posts in other languages?
    If not...Why the heck not.

There are language packs available at http://www.vbulletin.org/ but you have to be a licensed customer to download them. Let me check if they have a Korean one...

        Yea that blows.
That's the only thing holding me back from buying VB right now.
That and the fact that their member support is leagues past their corporate cust. support.
I haven't received an email from the VB guys YET and it's ticking me off.
At least infopop has excellent cust service who respond almost immediately.
There's ALWAYS something wrong though...nothing's ever perfect.
        Thanks.

I dont need a translation either,
I need full BILingual support...i need to run english and korean side by side in real time.
Else i have no use for any of these boards.
Are they dumb? why not develop for people of other nationalities?
          Sheesh.

          PS-Still no response.

Perhaps, you need to think further before you say such word.
If they, Jelsoft, develop Korean template, meaning Korean version of VB, they will have to support Korean users also.
How many mods here can speak Korean? None.
Then how are they gonna support it? No way.

I am a Korean and a owner of VB (although I run full english VB), I *may be willing to translate the templates but not to one who calls Jelsoft dumb.. sorry, pal.

Users have translated our software into Chinese, Japanese and Korean with little to now problems. The main thing is you have to remember to set the proper charset in the headinclude template.

We give you complete control over the HTML (without touching PHP files) so you can do what every you want with it.

You sent an email yesterday at 5:00PM and Martin responded at 8:23PM. Less than 3.5 hrs. Most companies respond in 48 hours, if that fast. The only time I ever had to email Infopop support it took 7 days to get a response. Four hours is doing extremely well under any industry standard, and our last 30 issues were answered in an average time of 2hrs 41min.

                Things are not instantaneous.

                  Eh no.
When you email infopop, the corporate cust. service reps tend to email you back pretty quickly. Sure I understand things take time but hey, my point is valid: Infopop responded quicker than you guys did. That's all. And of course it's understandable to be irked when the company everyone rants and raves about doesn't email you back as quickly as the company that USED to have the best product out there. Dont knock me for wanting good customer service; i'm surely not knocking you for taking your time.
Canadian/Korean: Ok sure perhaps i set myself up for getting lashed at by the VB loyalists, but no it would make TOTAL sense to hire a few people who were multilingual and integrate multilingual support into your software to reach a broader audience. Are YOU dumb? You think Microsoft puts out language packs because they're trying to be p.c? sheesh.
My apologies for implying you all (VB guys) were dumb.
But it does make sense....making money makes sense...customer support makes sense. That's all.
And yes you all did respond. Thanks.
