  • 4.2.5. stop development but...

I read that Vb 4.2.5 stopped development at end 2019.
I'd like to know if it includes also critical patch in case will be discovered security bugs/flaws.

We haven't had any development on vBulletin 4.2.X in over two years. vBulletin 4.2.5 is the last version and considered end of life. If you're using vBulletin 4.X and haven't upgraded yet, I recommend that you do.

What happens in 5 days is that PHP 7.1 goes end of life and will no longer receive security patches by the PHP Group. This is the last version of PHP that vBulletin 4.2.5 will work with. We will not be upgrading the software to work with PHP 7.2 or higher.

Here is the topic about the 4.2.5 release - https://forum.vbulletin.com/forum/vb...bulletin-4-2-5
