Insert / attach image from gallery to new thread/post?

Pardon me if this is out there, I couldn't seem to find my answer. With the photo gallery/album in vb5 is there a way to attach an image to a reply/new post or when creating a new thread? For example if someone is writing a how-to and wants to document the story with pictures are they able to upload the pictures to their usercp gallery and then go to make the new thread and insert pictures accordingly?

If you click the Camera icon at the upper left section of the editor, there is an option so "Select from Photo Album". But note that images attached using the Camera icon are all displayed at the bottom of the post as thumbnails and opens as a slideshow when clicked. You cannot insert them in between post content.

If you click the Paper with Clip icon at the upper right section of the editor, you can attach and insert them anywhere in the post but you cannot select from your photo album.

i have been begging for this functionality since vb5 started...havent been told "no", but im not sure where in the priority list it is....seems like a basic function so people can easily cross publish and create professional content... that is something which is generally a chore in itself and needs to be a simple as possible or many people wont bother to fight the software to do it...
(there is a way, but it requires multiple browser windows open and pasting links and such same as vb3 functionality)

Ever since I started using vbulletin years ago I've had to use addons to get this type of functionality and I completely agree with what you said Iggy. It needs to be as easy as possible and is in my opinion required to create professional content on any forum. Especially in this day and age where people love taking photos of their projects and sharing the content to help others out there. I almost don't believe vbulletin hasn't made this available yet. I have unlimited data storage with my host and would love to allow my users to take advantage of that and use the site for their informational content storage.

exactly...i really dont understand sometimes with more focus to building so many themes or some priorities they will focus...i think it can help if they hear about it more...

the sad thing is....is even worse than this...there are several photo related issues that i feel are pretty critical but "not enough people have complained" so please help and vote or comment on some of these issues>>
